Prioritising recycling and investing in waste reduction would go a long way to solving the waste crisis. Instead the Government is opting for wide-scale incineration.Our throw-away culture is risking people's health and squandering our world's resources.

Top tips on reducing waste:
  1. Avoid lots of packaging
  2. Buy in bulk
  3. Buy long-lasting items rather than disposables
  4. Use concentrated products and refills
  5. Buy items packaged in recyclable materials
  6. Buy recycled products
  7. Order milk in glass bottles
  8. Use long lasting carrier bags or baskets rather than plastic
  9. Buy reuseable nappies
  10. Buy low energy light bulbs
Reduce the amount purchased, Reuse what you have and Recycle the items when you have finished with it taking them to charity shops or a materials exchange web site such Eastex materials exchange .
